Alberto Blanco Ultracyclist and Endurance Athlete:

I have been racing bicycles for over twenty years. I was part of EIDE and ESPA Provincial sports programs in Cuba and was selected to race in three national championships, earning a silver medal and a 4th place in the road race.

I left Cuba and moved to the US, where I continue to follow my passion for the sport of cycling. I have won many races and state championships and have raced all over the country, but I found my real love in UltraCycling and ultra endurance sports.

After winning the Sebring 24 hour race, riding 450 miles non-stop, I entered the 3000 mile non-stop Race Across America (RAAM), crossing the country in 9 days 7 hours, winning Rookie of the Year and placing 4th place overall despite getting injured with Shermer’s Neck in the first thousand miles of the race.

I'm currently putting my 25 + years of experience as an athlete to continue coaching cyclists and endurance athletes to help them achieve their goals and improve their physical and mental state. I'm also race director for The Florida500 UltraCycling race held in Florida in the month of February.
